i've got seven more days working here. someplace in between raffles place and chinatown. lunchtimes are always quite interesting, and its the 'greatest' time of the day too. anyways, its also until recently, i realised why theres a need for publicity to discourage tissue choping. its like very evident here around the office districts. quite unsightly and uncultured to see those people leaving their tissue packets and going off to buy their food, despite them wearing really nice clothing. afterall, its better to leave a person than a packet of tissue to tell people that someone will be occupying that eat. i was really tempted to just take their tissue packets away, since its 'finders keepers, losers weepers', since they left their (worthless) 'belongings' behind and theres no name to it, or just take the packet and place it on top of a rubbish bin or if i am nicer, on some lying about stool i see. tsktsk. or else you rish putting your bags there or smth bigger, at least i will respect that. otherwise eating hawker fares are actually quite a delight, except that it can be quite warm somedays and you end up smelling the hawker centre (which is quite >=/ unpleasant as that smells stays in your clothes and hair. with occasional ungraceful people that.. ard the sidewalk (and chinatown is not in the least of exception with the 'old uncles' wondering ard) and you brushing against them is not a really nice experience as they tend to smell, imagining all the millions of microscopic organisms (those helping to clear trays, but they do do services for us...so yeah) thats why with the purple. |
